Installing Honda Type II bars... - Rebel73_imp - 03-16-2016 So I finally got around to swapping out my handlebars. It was much easier than I thought it would be. The left grip came off pretty easy with some WD40 and a long skinny screwdriver. I'm just waiting on the hand grip cement I ordered online to reinstall the left hand grip and internal weights. I'll upload better pics of the finished product once it's completely done. I already like the feel of the lower bars better. It feels like it will give me better control with a slightly more forward position. RE: Installing Honda Type II bars... - soulmachine_imp - 03-16-2016 Any chance you can snap a pic from the same angle as the first pic? Are those type II bars lower? Look like it, but I'm having a hard time seeing it. If they are lower, is there a Honda part number? Thank you, Brian RE: Installing Honda Type II bars... - Rebel73_imp - 03-16-2016 Yes, they are about 1.5" lower. I'll put some pics up for you later. It was getting dark when I took the above pics. I'll see about getting you that part number. You can also order them from Samurider.com http://www.samurider.com/?p=14359 RE: Installing Honda Type II bars... - soulmachine_imp - 03-16-2016 That's an excellent link showing the differences between the two bars. Thank you! Yer welcome. RE: Installing Honda Type II bars... - fazer6_imp - 04-18-2016 Did you have to drill the new bars for the switchgear? RE: Installing Honda Type II bars... - the_undecider_imp - 04-18-2016 I thought the type 2 bars weren't compatible with the DLX? Lower bars + taller tank = contact. Those are lower than the Type 2s RE: Installing Honda Type II bars... - Rebel73_imp - 04-18-2016 (04-18-2016, 07:44 AM)the_undecider_imp Wrote:(04-18-2016, 07:42 AM)Rebel73_imp Wrote:(04-18-2016, 07:00 AM)the_undecider_imp Wrote: I thought the type 2 bars weren't compatible with the DLX?
