suspension - gtmn_imp - 01-04-2017 just want to let you guys know I just ordered the dampener kit from traxxion dynamics http://www.traxxion.com/Drop-In-Damper-Rod-and-Fork-Spring-Kit/ on sale at 299.00 I have yet to read any cb owners use this setup yet I have used this kit on my fz-07 and it was awesome makes a huge diff in the bikes handling and stopping also I just installed these progressshocks-for-triumph-thruxton-2004-2015 http://www.progressivesuspension.com/product/6152/490-sport-series now these are made for the thruxton but went right on I could not find much in perf shocks for the cb so I went for it and they worked great these are preload and rebound adjustable I have only about a half mile ride just to make sure all was good and seem great they fit real close to the muffler but don't hit. had to swivel it out to install but very easy install I just want to say to all that suspension mods are not for everyone. nor is spending the money on something you think already works there are a lot of opinions out there and everyone is right , just ask them all I have to say is ride a bike that is fixed and then ride one that isn't and you will spend the money and if you spend it, do it right. if you don't you will just be disappointed in the results. I have said it before on here springs only hold the bike up, you need to do something with the valving to make a real diff this is my third bike that I am fixing the suspension on. and I wouldn't have it any other way if I could figure out pics I would put them on here but I cant make them small enough. I'm real dum RE: suspension - TINK_imp - 01-04-2017 I installed the Race Tech springs > http://www.photosbytink.com/cb1100forksprings/ BIG improvement! Been thinking of doing Race Tech Gold Valves next... If I had known about Traxxion at the time, I would have bought and installed their kit. BTW, I installed IKON 7610 shocks on the rear. RE: suspension - gtmn_imp - 01-04-2017 I have seen your right ups and I must say great work if you install the valves you will be very impressed call Dan at traxxion and I am sure he will sell you the valves and new damper rods without the springs Dan is a great guy to work with, he will likely need to know what weight springs and your weight and riding style to set up the valves with new valves to slow the fork down you will notice much less nosedive and a lot less pogo in the corners RE: suspension - Sam Mac_imp - 01-05-2017 I had the traxxion dynamics kit in a Harley Night Rod. Made a world of difference for one of the worlds worst handling bikes. Also had Penske double adjustable shocks on the back. Thing almost killed me one day when I hit a small bump at the apex of a corner and I darn near ran off the road. RE: suspension - SimiPair_imp - 01-05-2017 I installed Racetech Gold Valves, Hyperpro springs, and Ikon shocks. Rides and handles great. RE: suspension - gtmn_imp - 01-05-2017 if you look at the Honda web site the new 17 is going to have what they call sdbv or showa duel bending valve technology or what seems to be a gold valve ITS ABOUT TIME HONDA, hope they fixed the rear also and put springs in for a heavier person then 150lbs RE: suspension - gtmn_imp - 01-12-2017 so just finished the Traxxion Dynamics damper kit so I'm done with suspension thanks Dan at Traxxion he sent out 1.1 springs with the kit. as I expected as I am 250lb now all I can do is stare at it till spring, that really sucks |
