Rear Fender Elimination. - silascopathic_imp - 07-21-2013 So I am serious thinking of ditching the rear fender. has anyone done this? I would love to hear thoughts? Also I am looking for a rear fender elimination kit complete with tail light and plate holder. I was looking at this for a triumph and figured I could fabricate an adapter to fit the bike. The inspiration for my bike has been the Mugen CB1100 that I saw on Bike Exif. Google those terms and you'll find some great pictures with what I think you are looking for for the rear fender. I wish I could post them. I think that custom bike is amazing. I wish the parts were readily available here in the US. Kevin RE: Rear Fender Elimination. - silascopathic_imp - 07-21-2013 So I think I'm gonna try it. Gotta find an elimination kit that I think will work. I will keep all you in the loop RE: Rear Fender Elimination. - The Spaceman_imp - 07-21-2013 Just be sure to save the parts. 20 years from now, some poor bike restorer is going to be searching whatever passes for EBay in the future for a rear fender to complete his bike. RE: Rear Fender Elimination. - silascopathic_imp - 07-22-2013 Oh def! All the parts are going in the attic

Kevin, In your case, the flat black shortie fender with the small tail light used on that Mugan bike is available for sale via webike.net. The small aluminum turn signals Mugan used are listed as well. Cheers. Chip RE: Rear Fender Elimination. - silascopathic_imp - 07-22-2013 Thanks for the tips!! RE: Rear Fender Elimination. - silascopathic_imp - 07-22-2013 ordered an integrated taillight for the bike. ONce it comes in I will attempt this project. Eliminate rear fender, turn signals and relocate license plate under the seat. hope it looks bad ass RE: Rear Fender Elimination. - Mackerel_imp - 07-28-2013 Silascopathic, Are there any updates to the rear fender elimination? I'd really love to do the same thing and see how well it turned out. Thanks! RE: Rear Fender Elimination. - silascopathic_imp - 07-29-2013 at this point i am still awaiting the taillight. once that comes in I will start the project. Believe me, I will definitely let everyone know how it goes and will provide pictures |
