Need larger capacity fuel tank! - J-Bob_imp - 03-08-2014

Does anyone know of a suitable aftermarket tank that holds more than 4.2 american gallons? Have been searching without success. Looking forward to long trips on lonely highways. Thanks.

The retro styled K-10 tank by Whitehouse...

4.7 gallons but your gonna pay about $2000.00 more for that extra half-gallon. Sad

what is the range of our CB1100 on one tank full? I know I've never come close to reaching the limit without a rest or bio break.

I've gone 180 miles on one tank on my 13 with a 3.9 tank.

The 14 Deluxe has either 4.4 or 4.7 gallon tank depending on who's figure you take

On the Honda powersports site the DLX is shown as having a 4.6 gal. tank.

That should be good for 230 miles for me.

So if you average 60 MPH, that is more than 3 hours of riding time on one tank, plenty long for me, I like to get off every so often to relax and look at my CB.

A DLX tank with 4.6 or 4.7 gallons will probably be a lot less expensive than a White House tank and hold about the same.

The CB11 really gets great gas mileage on the highway (as long as you're not doing 100 mph). While my mileage in town is not that great (~42 mpg) thanks to my heavy wrist, I routinely exceed 50 mpg once I get on the highway.

A larger tank would be nice but cost prohibitive here in NZ, from the forum, one member, sorry can`t remember the name, suggested a MSR fuel bottle or similar as a reserve. Good thinking I thought to myself as that would equate to about roughly 14kms or 9 miles extra per bottle and they are small enough to store on your rack or top box. From memory about NZ$50 each in NZ.

But will a '14 DLX tank fit a 2013 Standard?
