I got 2017 EX I absolutely love that 4-4 exhaust. Does anybody put some mileage on it?Would chrome discolor with age and use?Would I need a power commander?

Thanks

It's actually a 4 into 2 exhaust, and I agree--I think it looks amazing. I try not to think about what it weighs. I have only just bought my 2017 EX recently and I only have about 300 miles on it, but I already know it is in a very mild state of tune. Great low-end torque for an in-line 4, but really not much muscle. The fueling at lower rpms is okay--not great, but I have not had any actual low end stumbles like some here have reported on earlier bikes. I'm not sure that a Power Commander would do much unless you're willing to scrap the exhaust and maybe do work on the intake side. Plus, I am not sure what is available to fit our bikes and if there is any off the shelf tune for it.

It is true 4 into 4 and mine have over 7K on them with no discoloration because the headers are double wall with Chrome , mufflers are Stainless Steel . they hold up great

I get no popping just a great sound. pipes 2 and 3 do have a crossover for the O2 sensor [ look close and you can see the crossover ] the SS is slightly Golden from factory but has not darkened. mine runs perfect in every way - sound is amazing . posted a pic so you can see the crossover - O2 sensor is on top of that in the middle

Thanks guys,I’m not looking to to increase power or make it a racer, just love it how it sounds and looks.
use2b,so there is no need for any ECU tuning or any fuel delivery modifications, just install it and enjoy beauty of it,right?

i'm going to ask a question that i hope is appropriate for this thread: how would any of you compare the pipemasters 4-4 to the Moriwaki RC4? advantages? disadvantages?

I’d bet use2b has his pair system blocked off somewhere and just isn’t aware of it.

Removing the cat generally makes a lot of decel pops otherwise.

you are probably right as i did not do any of the work and the outcome is perfection by the guy who did all of this. unfortunately he died of a heart attack and the bike was bought along with his other toys and auctioned.

Wow- that’s a bummer.

I hope his soul is glad you are enjoying it and posting pics here for everyone to see!
