2017 CB and 1st gen Wyvern exhaust - sonnyb_imp - 08-12-2018

I need some help and advice,
I have 2017 and I can buy 1st gen Wyvern exhaust for a great price,

https://www.samurider.com/?p=9192

What needs to be done to fit that exhaust to 2017?I know 2017 has 2 O2 sensors, that exhaust just single one, mounting points/brackets?

thanks

Basically, the header will fit. You will have to sacrifice the center stand and modify the muffler bracket, which is different on the 2017

I saw the Wyvern in person at the CB1100 Southern Ontario meet up, great look and sound, it was on a 2014 Spencer Blue. However I would not sacrifice my centre stand for an upgraded exhaust. For me the practicality of a centre stand far outweighs the improved looks and sound. On my trip to Tennessee I had to lube my chain and tighten it twice which was made much easier with the centre stand. I also plugged and refilled a tire at the side of the road a task made far easier with the centre stand. I also gas up on the centre stand to get the max capacity out of the smallish tank. Cleaning the rims is also easier with the centre stand. My first motorcycle the CTX 700 didn't come with a centre stand and I had one put on. it was a good investment. I guess you could say I'm pro centre-stand.

SAMURIDER has the Wyvern for the 2017, $30 more than the one for the 2013-2014
You can email Takeshi at SAMURIDER and he’ll tell you if it’s doable

Are you buying used off of someone? If so, and you decide against it let me know the contact maybe I’ll buy it from them.

Can those who had Vyvern installed provide info about main reason(s) for which the center stand had to be ditched, IE: would not fold into full rest position, could not even be installed/bolted back at all...?? Would it be possible to place bike on the center stand and have Wyvern installed, without folding it, just for display reason? Please be specific.

The two inside pipes have a crossover as well as being very close together so there is no room for the stand in the oem configuration to fit. I think that someone with the proper tools and ability could remodel the stand to fit.
