Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel - HondaJon_imp - 12-14-2013 Well, I just installed the CAT free Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel and all I can say is WOW!!!! This is the way the CB SHOULD run. Throttle response is much quicker and she pulls much harder. She also sounds mean, not overwhelming, but just enough that you know the bike isn't stock. Install was quick and the springs on the collector will ensure no leaks. I was amazed how light the titanium was. This is my first experience with this material and it is crazy light. However, I didn't know they would turn gold like the stainless stocker. If I had, I would have skipped the $100 polish option. Other than that, they are super high quality and fit like a glove. Going to try to have her Dyno'ed in next week. I'll post the figures and the map for download if anyone wants to duplicate my setup. RE: Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel - the Ferret - 12-14-2013 Uhhhh...do we need to say it? PICTURES! (or it didn't happen).
RE: Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel - CB4ME_imp - 12-14-2013 Jon, That's terrific! I was going to go the TSR route but after your travails the Motogear headers are getting a hard look. Can't wait to see the dyno results, and like Ferret said.....PICTURES! Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel - Smiler_imp - 12-14-2013 Have the K Factory 4-1 with full flow baffle and TSR funnel, just added a power commander and waiting to get her dyno'd
RE: Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel - HondaJon_imp - 12-14-2013 Sorry guys, I'll get some pics up tomorrow. I wanted to get her back together and on the road today. CB4ME, the CAT free route is the only way to go. My first test run with the header was an eye opener, but what really shocked me what how much of a difference the funnel makes. I really loved the look of the TSR chrome unit and can only hope they update thier design to add some collector springs and offer a CAT free setup. Oh, if anyone here decides to go with this header, get yourself a Motion Pro spring puller for the collector springs. Well worth the $7 http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/partno/08-0065/ RE: Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel - wildezt_imp - 12-14-2013 (12-14-2013, 06:05 AM)The ferret_imp Wrote: Uhhhh...do we need to say it? RE: Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel - the Ferret - 12-15-2013 Cool stuff. Very clean. Can you get to the oil filter? RE: Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel - HondaJon_imp - 12-15-2013 Indeed Ferret, Lots of room to the filter. The bends do not interfere with header nut access either. That was not the case with the TSR unit. Another well designed, well thought out, high quality piece of motorcycle art from Mr. T's shop. Too bad there is little domestic support for our bikes....... RE: Motogear Titanium Header and TSR Air Funnel - CB4ME_imp - 12-15-2013 Absolutely gorgeous. I didn’t think titanium would change color but it’s beautiful. De-snorkeling via a TSR air funnel was a concern until I pulled my stock air filter. Very, very clean despite a lot of riding on dirt and gravel roads. Jon - Anything else on the horizon? You’ve got one HOT CB! |
