Power Port for 2014 CB1100A (Deluxe) - MWV1500_imp - 12-02-2019

Hey All,

Just looking to add the Honda OEM power port for my 2014 Deluxe model.
The part # I have for this unit is 08U70-MGC-JB0 but am unable to confirm this is the correct part for the Deluxe (probably fits all CB1100's?) Anyone here order this already for their Deluxe?

Bit confusing with the variations in part numbers for Standard, Deluxe, EX models.
Little gun shy as I discovered that the part # for the luggage rack is different across some of these models (got the correct one from Samurider - 08L70-MGC-N40)
Also appears to be different part #'s for the engine guards -
Engine Guards - 08P70-MGC-JB0 (???)
Engine Guards - 08P70-MGC-N20 (2014 CB1100/CB1100A - Deluxe)

Thanks!

MWV,

Sorry no-one replied to your question. Honestly, most, or none, of us use the Honda power port. Most of us use something like this: [url=https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-081-0069-8-Cigarette-Disconnect/dp/B0041CDPQO/ref=sr_1_50?crid=3S5TZMD608QQZ&keywords=motorcycle+battery+tender&qid=1575637644&sprefix=motorcycle+%2Caps%2C912&sr=8-50]https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-08...12&sr=8-50 or just a SAE cable and plug in the adapter/device you want. A lot cheaper.

Thanks! Yeah, actually in retrospect, this is the better way to go as it will also provide the much needed connection for battery charging - a necessity up here in the hinter lands this time of year!

Or, you can put an SAE pigtail on the battery and let it come out of a hole in the plastic at the rear fender for a charger. And tie in another one to the accessory connector in the headlight shell. Then mount the other end by the instruments to power low power stuff like a GPS or phone or whatever. I keep this in mine [url=https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-081-0157-Disconnect-Voltage/dp/B00DJ5KE9A/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1D568X6DIFQ41&keywords=battery+tender+volt+meter&qid=1575666943&sprefix=Battery+tender+v%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-4]https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-08...172&sr=8-4

But it comes right out and something else can plug in there. Just don’t charge the bike’s battery there.

At one time I had all kinds of junk up near the instrument cluster on the CB. They have all since been removed. I wanted the original uncluttered appearance of the CB1100's "dash" as intended by design; focus more on the road and surroundings.

^+1^ exactly, road focus
