LED TURN INDICATORS - addition & sharing info - peterbaron - 12-08-2019

Have not started this project yet, just thinking of it during lonely winter days and sharing with others...

Models 2014 & up have very small and hard to be seen turn indicators, especially during sunny days. Audible device doesn't work for me due to hearing loss and ear plugs installed while riding.
I am not crazy about self canceling t-signal module, but cannot rule it out.
https://www.amazon.ca/Smart-Turn-System-Automatic-Cancelling/dp/B06XD71KSW
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZct5aRQwUI

Plan to add some additional, waterproof, high visibility 12V LED indicators.
Waterproof LEDs with wire extension can be bought from eBay, or other source.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-BBT-12-volt-Waterproof-Green-Led-Mini-Courtesy-Lights-/303153546975?_trksid=p5731.m3795

First, it needs to make a model/CAD*, then 3D printer* to build L & R mini boxes/bezels as per pic. Once everything is ready, simple, parallel electrical hook up to the existing t-signal circuit, in order to function.

Idea
Side note: hope, not to get too lazy with this project.
* Members, who have no access to CAD & 3D printer may use a simple plastic or alloy bracket for similar fitment.

1* As to "BIG" Honda project, research is completed....and the easiest one = takes 1/2 hr to assemble/install it.
Now has to stay in a "cool down brain cell" and final decision will be made Feb/March, as winter end brings more energy to do something
2* Good news that 3D printing is widely accessed.

Yeah, m/c'ing in North America can be easily viewed as discretionary. This is unlike many Asian countries where livelihood commonly depends on the reliability and effectiveness of the machine.

I don't consider owning a m/c excessive, but that is a matter of perspective I suppose. Nevertheless, yes PB (aka DV).
