SW-Motech ION 7L-15L Tail Bag - TXBikerGuy - 05-15-2020

I'm trying really hard to break 40+ years of motorcycle farkling behaviors with my CB1100EX. This bike is supposed to be my "old fashioned" bike that I ride to enjoy myself and bring back memories of being 16 yrs old, riding a CB550K with no money to buy accessories.

But, a guy has to have a place to stash some stuff. I opted for this little tailbag from SW-Motech. https://www.twistedthrottle.com/sw-motech-ion-tailbag-7-15l-small Straps onto the back of the seat with attached velcro straps (also comes with 4 straps to mount to other spots if desired.)

7L of capacity shown here. Expands to 15L if unzipped around the bottom. It's SW-Motech, so yeah...it's not cheap. But I like how it looks and it seems to be very functional.

Looks like a very functional tail bag and a great fit for your CB, but if you’re really trying to keep things simple and authentic, a milk crate would be more appropriate!

Looks great! And its low profile must make it easier to swing your leg over. As I get older leg swinging becomes more and more of a factor!!!!

I like it! Very smart looking. The velco straps--looks like they go under the seat? If you wanted, could you also attach them around the grab bar so that one could easily remove the bag if needed?

I really hate to be the one to break this to you, but you've likely come to the wrong place if this is truly your goal. Wink

On the flip-side, that's a nice looking tail bag that seems like it would come in pretty handy on a regular basis.

That is a really nice bag. I bought a similar size/style Nelson Rigg and really enjoy it since it doesn't detract from the look of the bike too much!

Looks good and unobtrusive. I prefer a magnetic tank bag for day to day small stuff.
