Ebay 40mm footpeg extensions - Crazyirv_imp - 06-10-2020

Got these on ebay for $76. They come from China and only took 5 days to arrive here in Sacramento. They were an easy install except the left one hits the kickstand at full extension but you can rotate it up and out if the way and it is still lower than b4. I have some problems with my right leg so thats where I really need the full drop in peg height, which I got. Gotta say after 300 miles this was a good purchase. Much easier on the legs and also the feet. The only drawbacks are its even harder to find the kickstand than b4 and also these things really grip my shoes almost too much...but I think they will wear down some in time. The brake pedal is almost even with the right peg now and I have ordered a red aluminum pedal of similar design that should raise it some so I'm not on the brake while riding.

Irv, do you have a link for these? I might want to order a pair.

Nothing has to removed on the bike except for the stock footpegs. I didn't have to touch any other parts to install the footpegs.

Got the brake pedal and installed it. Kinda funky.....not sure if they sent me the correct one for the CB but made it work. Its well crafted, solid aluminum and fits well over the existing brake pedal. The problem is there's a base that goes on the bottom and it seems to need to be hollowed out another 3/8". I was able to get it on by leaving off the lock washers and leaving a gap between the 2 parts. It's very solid and does not budge. I'm gonna try to live with it. Here's pics...sorry about the thumb on the closeup, but you can see the gap.

If you lowered the footpegs, wouldn’t you want to lower the brake pedal too, instead of raising it? Also, has it gotten harder to reach the top of the shift lever with your foot to shift into first gear and to downshift? Thanks for posting about these. I was looking at some European ones that cost more but would do the same thing. But when I switched to a Corbin seat my riding position changed slightly and is now more comfortable for me.

If there was any way I could lower the brake pedal I would. Doesn't seem like there is tho. The red pedal does not add much height, but being much larger it's easier for me to "find" if I take my foot away from it. This isn't for everybody, but in my case because of problems with my right leg I really need that right footpeg to be lower.

A thought: OEM brake pedal is "only" $100 if you're keen to try bending it . . .
