Rox in my Head - Rexburgtom_imp - 04-08-2020 Does anybody have any experience with these handlebar risers? The website says to check cable length. Is it required to replace the cables with longer ones or could the factory cables be used? RE: Rox in my Head - Lord Popgun - 04-08-2020 http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=15068&pid=256883#pid256883 RE: Rox in my Head - Inhouse Bob - 04-09-2020 I added Rox Risers (can't recall the measurement but I think it was 1.5") and did have to go with a longer front brake cable. Clutch and all was fine. But the difference in riding position was remarkable. I am 5'7" and my arms aren't so long. So the reach to the stock position was causing a lot of neck strain and therefore headaches. The risers cured all. RE: Rox in my Head - Rexburgtom_imp - 05-26-2020 OK, took the plunge and ordered Rox risers. Easy to install, no need to mess with brake lines and they look great. Went on a short ride and like a cell phone, the internet and google maps, I don't know how I lived without this modification. I'm 6-2 and I could have used these when I rode 2000 miles last summer to visit my grand daughter! RE: Rox in my Head - Charlie Bravo_imp - 05-30-2020 I've raised the bars on almost every bike I've ever owned using chromed 1/2" drive 19mm deep sockets as a riser, with longer bolts. Haven't needed to on the CB, tho. RE: Rox in my Head - PowerDubs_imp - 05-30-2020 I have Rox on my dirt bike- but on the CB the bar height wasn't the problem. I switched to bars that are angled back towards me more and a little wider. RE: Rox in my Head - chopperrockets_imp - 07-14-2020 I tried to install the 2" rox risers on my 2014, but the brake lines were way to tight. even after i removed the bolt on the split. has anyone found a way around this? replacement lines from a different year, or maybe after market? RE: Rox in my Head - Inhouse Bob - 07-14-2020 I had to put in longer brake lines. I couldn't find a splitter to use at the time so I ran two separate brake lines from the front master cylinder. It looks kinda funny but it worked. I recall seeing a splitter somewhere later that would have worked fine. Ain't that always the way? It was on one of those web sites for companies that do custom brake lines. |
