help needed: fenders / mudguards - franov_imp - 10-09-2020

Hello everyone, does anyone happen to have the OEM part numbers (and maybe an approximate price) for both the front and rear fenders/mudguards for the 2017-2018 CB1100EX? I'm talking about the chromed ones, as I happen to have the same-as-tank-color-painted ones (2019 model year) and I'd really love to put on the chrome ones: I'm asking to you as the nearest Honda dealer is 35km from my home Big Grin

Hello Franov, the front fender part number is 61100-MGC-000, about $305 US or 256 Euros. The rear is 80100-MGC-JB0, about $260 US or 221 Euro. These are the same chrome fenders used in other countries on 2017 CB1100EX. The fronts are shared with earlier models, the rear is used on EX only.

I have found that on larger, bulkier items like tanks and bodywork, any internet savings is used up by shipping costs. Also, if purchased from a local dealer, it is a good idea to open it at the store, so any damage can be noted, and the store absorbs return shipping.

In America 35 km (20 miles) is like next door !

35km?

Perfect excuse for a ride out with a rucksack!

And in Southern California, 35km or 20 miles is:
- 45 minutes if I take the 405 to the 10 west, get off at La Brea, get a Starbucks, back on the freeway the other way to Centinela.
- Or only 40 minutes if I take the 101 to the 110 North to the 5 North to Los Feliz and take San Fernando Road.
- Or I can just send my assistant while I walk to the Starbucks across the street.

thank you everyone for the kind help!!

35 kms is impossible to me not because of the distance itself, but because during the week (mon-fri) i'm stuck working in my office and on Saturday the dealer is open just for the showroom/bike sales part, and not for the spare parts (which in my opinion is ridiculous: I work for BMW and this would be unacceptable for one of our dealers, but Honda seems to accept it..).

I tried calling them but they couldn't tell me prices by telephone because of policy.. thanks god I have you all Smile

A shop that isn't open for parts and service on Saturdays sounds ridiculous - that, in the US at least, has traditionally been by far the busiest day.

Maybe they tell you this because you work for BMW......Undecided

Perhaps there is a more business-minded shop aa little farther away.

ahahah they don't even have a clue who am i! it's their normal time table, also displayed on their website.. and what leaves me speechless, is that they are one of the most important and historical Honda dealers in the Milanese area; but how can I blame them? Milan is one of Europe's best-selling points for the Honda SH and for scooters in general, there's a lack of "real motorcycles" people, and the ones who are into them quite often goes vintage with 70's/80's Zundapps, BMWs etc.. it's quite a city of its own.

Huh. 35 kms (or 20 miles) I am not even halfway to work. Undecided
