How long does it take? - the Ferret - 05-19-2021 to remove an NC Street Shield EX? and go from this ![]() to this? ![]() Just took mine off cause we are headed into the upper 80's for temperature and timed it with a stop watch 1 minute and 9 seconds RE: How long does it take? - Lord Popgun - 05-19-2021 I just swapped mine out for the Road Comet and it took about the same time as Ferret. I leave the mounts installed (sorry if the pics show that. I can't see them at the moment). How long does it take? - mvk24_imp - 05-19-2021 I dont plan on taking the emgo off unless I need to open the headlight. But its just the 1 bolt on each side of the headlight still. All I had to do was get longer ones. 2014 CB1100, 1981 KZ440 LTD, 1993 Yamaha XJ600 Seca, 1994 Yamaha XJ600 Seca How long does it take? - Gordo_imp - 05-19-2021 Lookin good ferret! Is it reasonable to assume about the same amount of time to reinstall the windshield? RE: How long does it take? - the Ferret - 05-19-2021 Maybe a minute longer GO cause it's easier to unscrew something (at least for me) than it is to get the threads started straight during installation. Maybe the same for mechanical types lol. BTW no tools required for installation or removal. RE: How long does it take? - flynrider - 05-19-2021 Timely post, Mickey! Here in the desert it's getting hot enough to demount the big 'ol NC Plexistar and mount the small NC Deflector DX for the summer. I'll probably get to it tomorrow. From past experience, the swap should take about 3 minutes, since they both share the same mounting hardware. No tools required! |
