Crash bars question from Biker Dave - the Ferret - 02-19-2015 bikerdave New To The Forum Posts: 3 Joined: Feb 2015 I was wondering about what JMC1100 said about a set of crash bars. SW-Motech? What? Where? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I would love to put a set of crash bars on this bike. RE: Crash bars question from Biker Dave - Gumby 1100_imp - 02-19-2015 The SW-Motech Crash Bars are available in Canada here: http://aviciouscycle.ca/MainPages/productpage.aspx?productid=7550 In the States directly from Twisted Throttle: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/sw-motech-crashbars-engine-guards-for-honda-cb1100-13 I have them and highly recommend them. They are much stronger than the Honda Accessory Bars which have an extremely weak lower attachment point, and the black finish blends in well with the frame. RE: Crash bars question from Biker Dave - hb9400_imp - 02-19-2015 Very nice, would have gone with them if I knew about them at the time but am glad I powder coated the Honda bars as I think they should blend into the frame. RE: Crash bars question from Biker Dave - bikerdave_imp - 02-20-2015 Gumby, Thanks so much for the quick answer and the information. They do look much better than the guards that Honda sells as accessories and cheaper too. Now, to me I would call those case guards. When I talk about Crash Bars, I am talking about the old full loop ones that come out from the frame some 4 - 5 inches. I used to put them on the Honda 4's from back in the 70's and 80's. Has anyone seen any of those that will fit the 1100? Crash bars question from Biker Dave - Elipten_imp - 02-20-2015 I think from Japan sources. Search webike or ask Mr T at Samurider Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Crash bars question from Biker Dave - Gumby 1100_imp - 02-20-2015 (02-20-2015, 08:25 AM)bikerdave_imp Wrote: Gumby, Thanks so much for the quick answer and the information. Below are some of the biggest I have seen for the CB1100 and are about $235 U.S.D.: http://www.samurider.com/?p=2713/#itemImage I thought that I saw some larger ones on another Japanese web site, but I cannot remember where. RE: Crash bars question from Biker Dave - Lord Popgun - 02-20-2015 This may be what you want: http://japan.webike.net/HONDA/CB1100/Guards+%2F+Sliders/311/1117/mc/ It wasn't on samurider, but Mr. T can most likely get them and he is easier to deal with as he speaks English. They are HUGE. The price at $473 U.S.D. seems high, but that apparently includes the equally massive rear bars. These are the type you see on full baggers. http://japan.webike.net/products/20522721.html RE: Crash bars question from Biker Dave - Lord Popgun - 02-20-2015 Yeah those. Hey, they aren't me, but if they are what he wants, more power to him ![]() You're right about the price. Seems like everything (but RLETS) for this bike is expensive.
