SW Motech evo racks question - 12milesout - 05-07-2024 Is there anyone else currently running the (now discontinued) SW-motech evo luggage rack system? I just replaced my rear fender with one that isn't bobbed, and I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing a part or need to modify what I have. Specifically, I'm looking for a couple photos of the rear cross bar & how it's mounted to the license plate bracket. I tried contacting their North American distributor for a parts list or instructions, but the CB is no longer listed in their system. Thanks RE: SW Motech evo racks question - pekingduck - 05-07-2024 (05-07-2024, 01:01 AM)12milesout_imp Wrote: Is there anyone else currently running the (now discontinued) SW-motech evo luggage rack system? SW Motech EVO (deprecated) and PRO are excellent products. RE: SW Motech evo racks question - 12milesout - 05-07-2024 And that's why I love this forum. Thanks, peterbaron. The plate bracket that I have has tabs on either end for reflectors, and it won't allow #18 to be installed that way without some modification. I just didn't want to start hacking things apart until I knew if I had the right parts. Much appreciated. I had read over that, and any other mentions of the system that I could find, but none had the exact info I was looking for. RE: SW Motech evo racks question - peterbaron - 05-07-2024 As for the rear brackets, I don't use the original license plate bracket with reflectors at all. My license plate is bolted directly to the #18 SW Motech bracket and my rear turn signals are bolted directly to the #1 bracket. |
