New baby brother to CB1100 - 2015 CB300 - RetroSeattle_imp - 07-24-2014

My local Honda dealer just put in a n order for the new CB300 naked bike. Very nice, I might have to slot one in next to my CB1100.

Hmm...that does not look too naked, almost like a Ninja 300 with a little less plastic.....

Man, I don't know. It looks like Yamaha helped with the styling — I consider those huge plastic shrouds up front to be "less than attractive".

It's a CBR300... An upgrade to the very popular CBR250.

yep, Honda had to up the cubes after the Kwacker went from 250 to 300. I have the 2011 CBR250R and it's a sweet little bike. I was nearly resigned to getting the Kawasaki because it *was* the only game in town, but when Honda announced their 250, that was it !

It is tempting to trade my 250 on a 300 but I won't because:

1. I like the fairing style of the 250, especially the rough plastic lower section. When it gets dirty, as it will being so close to the ground, there's no paint finish to worry about just get out a brush and scrub it clean.

2. I added too many accessories to it and don't want to spend that money all over again so soon.

3. I eventually want to break 100,000 miles on it.

So I will be keeping the 250. It is like a modern version of my first bike a CB350. It's about the same weight and the same power but with better brakes and a real chassis and suspension. I love it.

Looks more like a CB1000 baby brother.
