Another really nice "modern retro" from Honda - Guth_imp - 07-04-2013
I had never heard of this Honda before happening upon it via the Internet. I'm not even sure in which markets it was made available. This particular version of the CB400 Four (NC36) was produced in 1997 and 1998. A beautiful little bike in my opinion. Is anyone here familiar with this bike?

60 spoke wheels, interesting. Last time I saw those was on an early 80s 650 Yamaha xs 650. Looks like the same grab rails we got on the 1100. Bet it would e a fun little ride.

Nope, havent seen one myself too.
Used to ride the 550 supersport 4 into 1 at one time, fun ride, guess this would be also kind of a similar experience !

Excellent post, such a great looking bike. I've seen these NC36s in Japan when I was last there in 2011.
I would get one for puttering around the neighborhood (maybe? my CB1100 does a good job around the neighborhood as well), but I'd imagine the US market for these would be tiny: if some Americans feel our 1100cc bike is too 'tame', one can imagine what they'd consider a mildly tuned retro bike with approximately 1/3 the displacement (the CB400Four and the CB1 were terrific bikes which did not sell well in the US).

The only way for small bikes to sell well here would be to go to a tiered licensing system like the ones used in other countries.

I used to have a ton of fun riding my wife's old CM185 "Twinstar." I was told I looked ridiculous riding it (I'm 6'/225lbs.) but who cares what it looks like to anyone else? I also like my brother's Ducati Monster 695. Small bikes are cool.
