RE: Strange bike - Volchkoff_imp - 09-12-2015 Yes! Just do you know is it only prototype? RE: Strange bike - Django - 09-12-2015 From the Megola, the predecessor, there were build about 2,000 from 1921 to 1925 by BMW. The Killinger & Freund was a further development of the Megola. There is only one prototype, which was captured by the US army after WW2 and went to the USA. It still exists in the mid west owned by an unknown motorcycle lover. I found this information at the German wikipedia: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killinger_%26_Freund_Motorrad https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megola RE: Strange bike - Volchkoff_imp - 09-12-2015 Django, thanks! RE: Strange bike - Django - 09-12-2015 Here is some information in English: http://greyfalcon.us/Killinger%20and%20Freund%20Motorcycle.htm RE: Strange bike - Volchkoff_imp - 09-12-2015 It is so strange situation. It is unicum bike. Someone owns it and does not show it! At least it is a great exemplar for any kind of exibition or museum. |
