My vintage British motorcycles - Rocky_imp - 02-04-2016 I was asked in another thread if I had ever posted pictures of my vintage bikes here. Since there is an interest in them, here they are: This is my 1967 BSA single cylinder 441cc Victor Roadster. It was also restored from the ground up in 2000 and looks and runs as well today as it did then. These were retirement projects for me and now I get to ride them. Triumph got every line right on those bikes. Well done. RE: My vintage British motorcycles - Rocky_imp - 02-04-2016 Thanks Steve. This is the 1970 Triumph twin cylinder 500cc Tiger 100 that I restored and put back on the road in 1997. It still looks and runs a good as it did back then. Triumph got that series right did they not? Rocky you just needed to click on the IMG link to copy it and post it in your thread. I fixed it for you RE: My vintage British motorcycles - Rocky_imp - 02-04-2016 (02-04-2016, 05:13 AM)The ferret_imp Wrote: Man that Tiger is Gorgeous! Triumph got that series right did they not? Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. Thanks ferret for fixing the post Yes, of all the British bikes back then, Triumph got the profile just right and I smile every time I look at it. RE: My vintage British motorcycles - quietguy_imp - 02-04-2016 Beautiful motorcycles, Rocky... I wanted the Trident badly way back when but could never get the hang of the right side shifter. RE: My vintage British motorcycles - Cormanus - 02-04-2016 Beautiful, Rocky. Lovely work. A confession, if I may? It makes me laugh when you say "It still looks and runs a good as it did back then." reminds me of friends at that time who had Triumphs that spent more time in bits than on the road and, when they did run, leaked oil faster than you could put it in! Still, they are a beautiful looking bikr. Beautifu;, Rocky. Lovely work. A confession, if I may? I learned more about motorcycle wrenching from that bike than any other. RE: My vintage British motorcycles - redbirds_imp - 02-04-2016 Love the BSA also Rocky because it's the bike on which I learned to ride. It belonged to a high school buddy and it hooked me on motorcycles forever. |
