Flying Bikes! - Cormanus - 11-13-2018 Looks like the flying bike is coming and, of course, the police are getting it first. They don’t look all that comfortable on it, though: http://amcn.com.au/editorial/police-on-flying-bikes-to-patrol-dubai-by-2020/ RE: Flying Bikes! - peterbaron - 11-13-2018 no tires, brakes, chain...maybe in$urance will go down as well
RE: Flying Bikes! - Bheezy27403_imp - 11-13-2018 I'm not sure what makes that a bike? RE: Flying Bikes! - KiowaEagle_imp - 11-14-2018 Fall off that thing and you'd get chopped to pieces! RE: Flying Bikes! - Bheezy27403_imp - 11-14-2018 Definitely couldn't get me on that thing. Need some sort of shroud over the blades. RE: Flying Bikes! - the Ferret - 11-14-2018 I'd ride one,, no more slick roads, wet leaves, pot holes, gravel, oil or antifreeze slick spots, dead animals in a curve, nails in the road if someone pulls out in front of you go over them,..... I like it. Little noisy though RE: Flying Bikes! - flynrider - 11-14-2018 Not for me. I'm not that kind of Flynrider ![]() I wonder what happens at 60 mph and 16 ft. when one of those motors or propellers gives up the ghost. RE: Flying Bikes! - GoldOxide_imp - 11-16-2018 Yeah, saw this. These will be a slice. RE: Flying Bikes! - Roper_imp - 11-16-2018 Hoversurf, a company in California (where else?) will begin selling them next year. Cost = $150K with rider training included. Weight = 250 lbs of carbon fiber. 25 minutes per battery charge. Hover at about 16 ft with top speed at 60 mph. And yes, the rotors will be enclosed. I think Honda should make them. Honda already makes private jets. We need a Honda rotorbike.
