Z900rs cafe owners - Jfro5687_imp - 03-08-2020 Dear all, been looking at these bikes, can't get a demo ride easily hence this question. Not looking to compare with the CB here directly by the way as I think they are different niche's. They are fine looking bikes to my eyes. Is the standard gearing, especially in first that short? I read it's maxed out at 30mph, surely that can't be true, could it? It also has a positive neutral finder that means at a standstill, you cannot snick up, into second and sort of ride around it. Years ago (1992) I bought my first 'big' bike, a 550cc KAWASAKI Zephyr, and I had it a good while. That had the same gizmo albeit back then I didn't know what it was called. I found it mega annoying. Probably because I couldn't change it was even more noticeable. There's a few new / pre reg 2018 RS cafe models unsold around and I was half thinking that could be one to go for. Get a good deal maybe. (keeping the EX BTW). Owner opinions appreciated. |
