Not sure if anyone here are a fan of small CC high rev engine... But this sure made me drooling.. Wonder what other new bikes that are coming out with high rev red line. Seems like high rev engine are rare nowadays.

guys have been begging for a little inline 4 on this site..most notably the Honda CB 400 4 cyl
I'm just the opposite, I like big lazy liter plus I-4's that don't take a lot of revving to get anywhere. Rocketing along at 2500-3500 is my happy place.

A 250 I4. That's 62.5 displacement per cylinder. That's gotta be super oversquare to get a spark and 4 valves on a chamber that small. Maybe it's two valves. Should be really popular in places with tiered licensing. When I lived in Japan, there were a lot of 18 year old boys riding 100cc machines styled like WorldSBK.

I believe its 16 valves engine making it 4 valves per cylinder... The old i4 zx25 during the 90s is also 4 valves per cylinder, with the puny valve size they have notorious reputation of valve head snapped if not maintain properly. Your observation about tiered licensing is correct. It's also super popular in my country where our license are classed based on CC, Below 250cc, 250cc - 500cc, and above 500cc. But most of the young boys here wouldn't be able to afford the new ZX25R.
Its interesting with only 250cc the bike is making as much as my 2 cylinder 650cc ninja. My country kawasaki dealers had been bombarded with request to bring the i4 250cc in. But how many people will actually really buy it once its in is another story....

I read yesterday it's a very expensive piece and it won't be coming to the US because the price would be higher than the ZX-6R, the company's 600 Super sport
