New in the garage: Speedmaster - Classico_imp - 02-20-2023
Oh well, I couldnt resist it!
I add a new bike to my barn, she is a 2019 Triumph Speedmaster 1200.
I’ve just collected the bike and rode her back home 500kms, mostly through motorways. The SM looks very nice, almost as my CB1100 EX, but it has a much higher lower par and sounds better in comparison.
Riding wise, the SM fits me very well and I find her quite comfortable. I might change pegs though, dont like the forward controls, i prefer mid mounts.
I’ll be using her for weekend short haunts as well as some medium distance duo or solo touring. The bike is certainly on the small side but my wife and me are not big either.
Most possibly I’ll be selling the CB, it would be a bit of a luxury for me keeping both thoroughbreds together with the workhorse vstrom 650 XT.
In any case I pretend to remain in this forum, if I may.

I think the Triumph Speedmaster is a good lookin' bike. Congratulations Classico!
Some Forum members remain somewhat active well past their CB1100 ownership. I suspect if you find the soul of the Forum attractive, you'll be back.

I have a 2020 Speedmaster , after having issues with the riding position on the 2013 CB 1100. It’s a nice bike , rides a little harsh compared to the CB . I continue to check in on this great forum, the best on the internet. Still learn a lot on here. Great group of experts . Good fellowship also.

I always admire the Speedmasters when I drop in on my local Triumph dealer to drool (and to inquire about that new MG V100)
Very pretty, and as close as I'd get to a cruiser.
