BMW R18 - Django - 04-27-2023

Well, I really think about getting an R18: [url=https://www.autoscout24.de/angebote/bmw-r-18-werksgarantie-03-2024-benzin-schwarz-1e265f9e-d7c5-4a60-97f7-db17a852c93e?sort=standard&desc=0&lastSeenGuidPresent=true&cldtidx=2&position=2&search_id=bu3pv8ftco&source_otp=t10&source=listpage_search-results&order_bucket=unknown]see this page for pictures

Will have a test ride next week. I'm a little concerned about riding position and cornering clearance.
Never have ridden a cruiser so far.

I test rode one and i loved the motor. But I'm 6 ft with long legs and I found myself very constricted by the massive cylinder heads. I wasn't all that impressed by the handling either.

It's a beautiful bike but I think best for those of shorter stature and that seems to be unavoidable due to the boxer engine combined with the forward controls.

I miss my cruiser. Sad
After some mods including new handlebar, backrest, footpegs, etc. my 2001 Suzuki Intruder 1500LC was the most comfortable bike. I miss it.

Get a cruiser. Smile but I honestly don't know where your feet are supposed to go on that R18?

The BMW R18 certainly looks really swell to many folks.

RE: BMW R18 - Pauley - 04-28-2023

A friend of a friend has one. On a small group ride, I took him up on his offer to let anyone who wanted to take it for a spin. I was blown away by the torque - just phenomenal.

The CB1100 is the perfect bike for me; I did not find the handling or the rider position on the R18 to my liking. Beautiful bike, though.

all flash, no dash
This is the bike you need (excuse me Django!) if your concern is what other riders see.

Don't worry about clearance or scratching pegs, this bike comes with a 90 degree angle and all the bends, twisties, curves are handled by the included instrument Tongue

If you love it = get it Thumbs Up
