Mounting hard side cases - SportsterDoc - 12-13-2023 This may not be applicable for the CB1100, but since this is the "other bike" section, it may find use for your "other bike" I used Pelican cases on my 2016 Moto Guzzi 7II. Photos below: Fender washers may not have been necessary inside the case, but I like robust. I taped the bracket for 5 mm bolts, then added locking nuts to the back side. May not have been necessary. I have Givi monokey mount plates on all of my bikes, and I have always wanted to figure out a way to fabricate a "box-end" hardware setup to be able to securely mount any box I want. In particular, I'd want to attach the hardware to an old-school aluminum briefcase, which would be a good vintage look for any of my bikes. If you have any ideas for me, I'm all ears... |
