Motorcycle Soundtracks - GoldOxide_imp - 03-02-2024 Feature: 2021 Moto Guzzi V85TT Tractor with a Zard exhaust can. These sound samples were taken on the somewhat damp and salty day of March 2, 2024. Here is the recording device used: This is a not so new Instamic device that is basically a MEMs-based weather-resistant remote stereo microphone with wireless capabilities. I did not use it in wireless mode. If interested, more information can be had here: https://instamic.io/ This is where I placed the device: Basically it rode behind me. I put the rather thin "wind screen" over it. It wasn't the best, but it helped a little with wind noise. I can only imagine how the sound might be with the CB1100 opening up wide.
RE: Motorcycle Soundtracks - Tev62 - 03-03-2024 Good going, I have tried to capture the CB sound a few times and it is a challenge to get any half decent sound at all. These are great representations. RE: Motorcycle Soundtracks - GoldOxide_imp - 03-03-2024 I totally agree with you Tev. That is why I tried a bit harder because members in other forums are struggling. I did some more recording today and the resultant sound quality is getting better for me. That is, less wind noise, more bass sound. Too bad I don't have an inline-4 to conveniently hop on and pop onto the freeway. I suspect at some point I should be able to finesse a sound bite, loop it endlessly and use it for meditative purposes. (truth be, I'd probably fall asleep instantly) |
