After market turn signal question - INTP_imp - 07-16-2014

I have installed the Lockhart Phillips turn signals on my CB. I ordered a set of single filaments for the rear, and dual filaments for the front. I started with the rears, and they work fine with the stock front signals. I installed the fronts, leaving one wire disconnected. Now they blink extremely fast. It is my understanding, that this is because the wattage is wrong for the bulbs. The fronts have 12v23/8w bulbs, is this the same as the 1157? I have looked for other bulbs with higher wattage and found the 2357 and 2397 but it doesn't look like these will fit in the housings.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

bikes left front turnsignal wire (orange/white) connects to the (red) turn signal assembly wire, the turn signals (black/white stripe) wire connects to a green ground on the bikes harness.
the bikes right front turnsignal wire (blue/white) connects to the(red) signal assembly wire, the turn signal assembly (black/white) wire connects to the bikes (green) ground wire. you can make a Siamese
type connector for the signal grounds(black/white) to connect together in one place at a (green) ground wire.
to verify using the correct filament of the bulb, connect 12 volts to each positive wire (one at a time) at the signal and the negative wire from the signal to ground, you will want to connect the bikes turn signal wire to the brightest filament wire.
questions? drop me a message and i'll assist if I can.
Paul.
