How do I clean the crankcase breather? - Sfomoto_imp - 09-09-2014

Hello,
I am doing my 8k maintenance, and I am about to do the Crankcase Breather. Can anyone help me by giving me some instructions on how to clean the crankcase breather as recommended by Honda.
All info will be helpful!!

Thank you

Thumbs Up

There are 2 a front and a back. There are pics of them in the how to section under 600 mile service. Put a small pan under it, pull the plug, let it drain, and put the plug back. Done.

I dont think it really matters, I just check them when servicing the bike. I have never found any fluid in them yet. My old Nighthawk 750 would get fluid in it regularly that had to be drained.

Yep, mine is the same way. Not a lot but some and I just let it out when I change oil.

I found some fluid in one of them when I changed the oil recently. I was a bit surprised.

The top one's a bit fiddly to drain as you have to try to get something in behind the cylinders to catch the liquid.

Just pull the whole tube off. I could release the upper clamp with my fingers.
