Vessel Tool Discount Code - 2017EX_imp - 06-03-2018
Originally I had thought to post this in the For Sale Section so that as time goes on, it would be easy to find, but after reading the rules for that section, thought it might be a violation. If the moderators think it would be better to list it there, maybe this post could be moved to that section? Anyway, I originally posted the importance of using JIS ( Japanese Industrial Standard ) screw drivers for the cross head screws on our bikes, which many people mistakenly think are Phillips heads http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=12665 .
I ordered some JIS bits from vesseltools.com ( JDV Products ), and mentioned this Forum to the guy I talked to. Although Vessel Tools are high quality Japanese product in general, I think the main interest for us would be JIS screw driver bits, screw drivers, impact 980 screw driver, and 25001 hand impact driver. The screws on our master cylinder covers are JIS #2. Both JIS and non JIS are carried by this company, so those that ARE JIS have a light gray JIS logo in the listing for the tool.
I have had good personal experience with this company, but it is not a CB1100 Forum sponsor, and posting the info here is not an endorsement by the CB1100 Forum. I have no connection to this company, and am just passing on the info.

Have one of those vessel drivers for years in the blue case with the four bits in it, it has done many jobs that could no way have been done with even the best screwdrivers, you will be very pleasantly surprised with it, i have not had a screw that could not be undone easy, a few taps is all it takes and you have the bonus of the 1/2" square drive for sockets.
The blue case shows the usual wear signs but the tool is as good as the day i bought it.

Update: Much of vesseltools.com past business has been large orders, and more in the Vessel pneumatic heavy tools. Consequently the shipping rates on the web site are the more expensive UPS rates. Larry Konight is aware of this, and has been working to get all the logistics ironed out to include on the web site the less expensive USPS padded envelope, and flat rate small boxes. In the interim, if members want a small order, shoot Larry an email and ask for a quote for what you want with the Forum member HONDACB1100 discount code, and less expensive USPS shipping. If the quote is acceptable, he can also send members a PayPal invoice.

I have the same Vessel model 2500, made in Japan, in the blue metal case that I have had since 1968 or so. Still works, and like you, it has saved my bacon on more than one occasion with stubborn screws, and without damage to the screw. The model 2500 is now discontinued, replaced with the 25001. The only difference is that the 25001 now comes in a thin plastic sleeve with snap ( same idea as the blue Honda snap pouch for the CB1100 tool kit ), instead of the metal case.
