Gas leaking from overflow tubes - Edtheguy_imp - 08-31-2020 1982 cb.900 Was running when parked 3 years ago. Added seafoam and topped off tank. Put in new battery and wont start. See gas dripping from what looks like overflow tubes from carb. Any suggestion? RE: Gas leaking from overflow tubes - the Ferret - 08-31-2020 Ed this forum is for the 2010-2020 Honda CB 1100's but we have some smart guys here that may be able to help. I think the forum you want is this one http://www.cb750c.com/ RE: Gas leaking from overflow tubes - Cormanus - 08-31-2020 G'day Ed. RE: Gas leaking from overflow tubes - LongRanger_imp - 08-31-2020 Pull your carb bowls and clean the float needles. They’re sticking open. While you’re in there, a liberal shot of carb cleaner into the jets won’t hurt. RE: Gas leaking from overflow tubes - SportsterDoc - 08-31-2020 I would expect that it won't start due to flooding. Most likely debris in the float valve and/or the float valve needle / seat is worn. RE: Gas leaking from overflow tubes - Houtman_imp - 08-31-2020 Just buy a CB 1100 ! RE: Gas leaking from overflow tubes - LongRanger_imp - 08-31-2020 Doc, yours is a better explanation than mine. Thanks for clarifying. RE: Gas leaking from overflow tubes - Cormanus - 08-31-2020 Sometimes my friend Houtman, although succinct and fast shooting, is dangerously wide of the mark. He keeps moderators on their toes! |
