O2 sensors on 2014 DLX - Houtman_imp - 12-13-2020 As I am interested in the Pipemasters 4 into 4 this morning I put two O2 sensor eliminators on my 2014 to see how the bike would run . I have one on my 2013 and that runs perfect with the Moriwaki 4 into 4 The O2 sensor eliminators did not work on my 2017 as check engine light came on and it went in to "limb'" mode. I gave the 2014 a 90 mile ride today and the bike runs great , seems stronger . The one thing I did notice that the gas mileage had dropped quite a bit compared with before (same type of driving ) Is this normal , I pulled the outer plugs but they did not seem "rich " I do not care about the extra cost of gas but just a little more inconvenient. Any other riders with O2 sensor eliminators on a 2014 DLX ? I want to cover all aspects before ordering the Pipe Master. RE: O2 sensors on 2014 DLX - 17-CB-002 - 12-13-2020 Hi Houtman, IMHO the best method to confirm whether the CB is consuming more or less fuel is to monitor the Long Term Fuel Trim (LT FT) from the ECM data list. Usually when there is no compensation from the ECM, the LT FT should read around 1.0 When the ECM is enriching or compensating for a lean running engine, the LT FT reads between 1.0 to 1.20 When the ECM is leaning or compensating for a rich running engine, the LT FT reads between 1.0 to 0.80 Sorry, you will require to access the Honda OBDII data list. See Bflint sample of datalist [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=16206&page=5]http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread....206&page=5 Hope this information help. Regards Alain RE: O2 sensors on 2014 DLX - Houtman_imp - 12-13-2020 Thanks Alain , I do not mind buying this tool but it is above my head to use it ! RE: O2 sensors on 2014 DLX - Houtman_imp - 12-16-2020 Today I pulled the plugs on my 2013 with the Moriwaki 4 into 4 which Amos and I put on in June last year. The plugs look perfect , it does not seem to run rich. I also bought some accurate measuring jugs to check the mileage on my 2014 with the O2 sensor eliminators put on , weather has to get better to check it ! RE: O2 sensors on 2014 DLX - the Ferret - 12-16-2020 What are measuring jugs RE: O2 sensors on 2014 DLX - Houtman_imp - 12-16-2020 They are plastic containers with accurate lines of volume in metric and imperial . Cheap ones from the paint department at Home Depot. I fill the bike tank to the bottom of the inlet , go for a ride , see how many miles and than see how much it takes in gas to fill to the same line. I always fill my bikes at home with the bike vertical in a Baxley sport chock. These chocks are very nice if you loose your center stand , I use a Pitbull rear stand to bring the rear wheel up to oil my chain or take a wheel out for a tire change. No Spill gas tanks are great for filling a gas tank without spilling gas. O2 sensors on 2014 DLX - PowerDubs_imp - 12-17-2020 Will love to hear your thoughts on the pipemaster 4-4 compared to the Moriwaki. I like the look of the Moriwaki from what I’ve seen pictures of online. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: O2 sensors on 2014 DLX - Houtman_imp - 12-17-2020 I did send an email to Pipe Masters but no reply yet . RE: O2 sensors on 2014 DLX - Houtman_imp - 12-18-2020 I received an email from Pipe Masters , the pipes for the 4 in 4 exhaust do have bungs for the O2 sensor on both sides and it is likely that the center stand can be retained . I am going to order a set tomorrow and it might take 4 to 5 weeks to get here but that is no problem. The earlier ones for the 4 into 1 (2013 model) only had one port for the O2 sensor. The price is $ 1590 plus $ 195 air freight. RE: O2 sensors on 2014 DLX - peterbaron - 12-18-2020 If OEM exhaust has two banks, it would be logic to have two as well for the aftermarket. Anxiously waiting to see your pipes installed John |
