Won't start - RLS_imp - 03-23-2022 I was riding the CB and it performed perfectly on a long ride with several stops. The next day I went out to ride and it wouldn't start. I just put a new expensive battery in the bike about 6 months ago. When I turn the key the display lights up and looks good but when I hit the ignition, it just makes some clicking noises. Bike has 20k and has had regular oil changes and tire changes, but that is it. Is it time to change the plugs? or should I start with the battery?, or could it be something else? Any thoughts would be appreciated. RE: Won't start - GoldOxide_imp - 03-23-2022 ... what m in sc says, however, it can still be the battery even if new. What kind of winter maintenance was performed on the battery? (Note: If it is a LiFePO4 battery, literally no maintenance is required, unless you have an onboard GPS / security system installed on the bike). RE: Won't start - the Ferret - 03-23-2022 always check the simplest thing OR the last thing you did first. Check battery. RE: Won't start - RLS_imp - 03-23-2022 Thanks guys, I will check the battery. RE: Won't start - max - 03-23-2022 From experience i found that if the green neutral light goes out when the starter button is pushed the cause is the battery or loose battery terminal ( s ). If the neutral light stays on bright it's something else, by the way the headlight is supposed to go out during the time the starter button is pushed, that's normal and is done to save battery energy for the starter circuit.
