Rare triple CB1100 sighting in the wild - willsmith_imp - 06-09-2013

Yesterday I was in Dahlonega GA and stumbled upon three (3!) CB1100's and their respective owners hanging out at [url=http://www.ridershill.com/]Rider's Hill ! This is the first time I had ever seen this beautiful machine. Two of the gents had purchased them at [url=http://www.lhyonline.com/]Lawrenceville Honda Yamaha. I figure there can't be more than 10-20 in GA, so this is a rare sighting indeed! I took this video as proof!

I'm hoping to purchase one to replace my CB250 soon

Cool! Hopefully that will be a more common sight.

Heck, at this stage in the game, I'd have thought it easier to film Bigfoot riding a unicorn! Big Grin

thanks for the video !

I think that 3rd one with the (Road Comet ?) fairing has been seen on this forum as one of the earliest farkled out beauties.

That 250 Nighthawk looks good in metallic silver, BTW !

I though that looked like VFRpaul's bike!

That 250 is a pretty cool looking bike. First I've ever seen one.

Thanks for sharing.

Yeah bought the CB250 on Craiglist about 3 years ago and have put 4000 miles on it. It's been completely reliable and virtually free to own/operate. I can hit 75 mph on the interstate with chin on the gas tank, else 70 mph is the max speed. Riding 2 up, she's do about 55 mph. Since most people outgrow this bike in about 6 months, I figure I'm about ready for an upgrade...

And yes, I think that is vfrpaul98! He mentioned he was already on the forum...

It's a shame that small displacement motorcycle have fallen out of favor. They make great around town bikes. Back in the early 70s a 250 would have been considered a mid sized bike. When I was in high school there were 4 of us that rode motorcycles to school. I had a Honda CB360T, another had a Yamaha DT360 (he'd pull wheelies leaving school), another had a Honda CB500, and the forth had a Suzuki X-6 Hustler (250cc 2 stroke). I'd sure like to see some smaller standard style bikes come back like Yamaha's SR400
