Tejas, here we come! - Charlie Bravo_imp - 07-23-2022 The move to TX is becoming a reality. I have officially retired as of yesterday 7/22. Our house is sold and we have to be out by 8/10 or pay a stiff rate for every day after that. We have put in an offer on a great house in Azle, TX, close to Eagle Mountain Lake. I donated the Suzi to charity and am taking the CB with me. RE: Tejas, here we come! - GoldOxide_imp - 07-23-2022 Congratulations CB on retirement. May the asphalt be long ahead. RE: Tejas, here we come! - Cormanus - 07-23-2022 Congratulations, Charlie Bravo. Any sailing to be had on the lakes at Azle? RE: Tejas, here we come! - Nachodaddy - 07-23-2022 Bought my first motorcycle in San Antonio and had many great rides in the hill country. Beautiful place to ride. I know you will enjoy it. Looking forward to some great pictures. RE: Tejas, here we come! - the Ferret - 07-23-2022 Congrats on the retirement. Enjoy your new Texan adventure. RE: Tejas, here we come! - Randy B - 07-23-2022 Congrats on getting out!! Yes, I am happy to say there is! I've seen pictures of marinas full of sailboats, and I am in the market for something along the lines of an 18ft Marshall catboat. Our offer on the house was accepted and it has an RV pad near the garage for a boat. I might go halves with my son on a 16-18ft fishing boat, too. The Grandsons will love the lake, too. Thanks to all for your good wishes. If you're ever in the neighborhood..... RE: Tejas, here we come! - Gone in 60 - 07-28-2022 Wow, congratulations! Sounds like everything is lining up for a nice retirement. Best of luck for a smooth transition to your new home, and continued happy riding! |
