Was anyone here riding in Portland tonight? - Guth_imp - 02-28-2014

Only my third live CB1100 sighting thus far. Just a few minutes ago. I was walking along SE 50th here in Portland, OR. Rider was in a black jacket and a matte black helmet. The bike of course looked awesome.

Just curious to know if it was anyone here?

Is there a picture of this bike you don't like? Smile

It's funny because pretty much every time I'm out walking and I see a single round headlight off in the distance headed in my direction, I'll slow down to pay attention to what it is. The closer it got, the more familiar it looked. Then I realized it was another CB1100. It was almost surreal watching it cruise on by.

No I did not....... but I made them order a new set and they will install them on the new bike before it will get picked up. They are already sitting in the shops service dept waiting for the bike to arrive.

For the record, I did not notice whether or not the CB1100 I saw the other night was sporting the little rubber lever end caps. Big Grin

Hey ferret, have you got a fetish for the little rubber lever end caps?
What gives? Big Grin

Oooh yea, I like things dressed up in black leather Cool

Actually, I remember all of the cool Hondas having them from the factory in the 60s and 70s. To me they complete the vintage look, finish off the end of the lever and compared to any other farkle for this bike they are dirt cheap, a couple bucks apiece.
