general information - gary_imp - 04-01-2014 I stopped by the dealer today to pick up the manual. They had a standard in so I snapped a quick pic. ![]() I also took some pictures of the general information pages of the manual. I thought it was interesting to see the differences between the '13 and the '14. Especially the oil and fuel pump flow rate. We don't allow direct presentation of copyrighted material on this site. I've edited your post so that the links remain to your images. If you want to present specific information directly on the site, such as highlighting some of the differences that you've mentioned, it is permissible to type those specs directly in the post (unlike presenting the images themselves directly in the post). Thanks, Guth RE: general information - gary_imp - 04-01-2014 (04-01-2014, 02:42 PM)Guth_imp Wrote: Hi Gary, Ah my bad. I didn't even think about that liability. Thanks for taking the time to edit the links. For those that are curious, the information I found interesting. RE: general information - Guth_imp - 04-01-2014 Thanks Gary! RE: general information - Cormanus - 04-01-2014 Thanks, Gary. Here's the picture in a larger format. It's a lovely looking thing. Is that an unsold '13 model in the background?
general information - Elipten_imp - 04-01-2014 That is a lot of black! A Batman suit would be a good fit. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk RE: general information - the Ferret - 04-01-2014 That is interesting info Gary. Looking at the pages I caught everything but the fork fluid difference which by itself is interesting, but also the fuel pump rate and the timing difference are interesting. One thing you missed was the ground clearance..5.3 vs 4.9 inches ...substantially different yet seat height is reportedly the same. Crazy. Why so many changes? Oh and the 13 standard gained 5 pounds on the 13. Due to 6 th gear and instrumentation differences? Another thing that caught my eye was amount of oil after teardown...1.1 quarts more than when changing the oil and filter. There must be a lot of dirty oil left in the crankcase somewhere after you drain the oil and remove the filter. Wow. RE: general information - Capo - 04-01-2014 From that pic, ( hard to tell with the abundance of black) it also looks like the side cover is a different shape than the DLX...it doesn't look like it covers the frame in front. Can anyone corroborate that? RE: general information - HikerToo_imp - 04-01-2014 Part of the reason I bought a 2013 only Honda Manual, to keep me from upgrading to a 2014 and to have specific info for "my" CB and not have to share with the 2014. Can anyone corroborate that? Same side panel shape as the 2013 and the grab rail looks like the 2013. Honda engineers must have a love affair with the CB1100. All the little changes show lots of tweaking and tinkering. They can't keep their hands offa it. It's going to make things interesting for the aftermarket manufacturers and those of us wanting to mix and match parts. Case in point, the new aluminum sprocket covers. |
