Moved to TX - Charlie Bravo_imp - 09-22-2022
Well,we finally did made it and are in TX. This is my first post from there. We bought a great house in Azle, TX, near Eagle Mtn. Lake, which has a marina near the house. Our HOA provides us private access to the lake for a very small monthly fee. The riding around here is hot now, 95+ degrees every day, but early morning rides thru the countryside are great. We had to get 4 Pods to get our stuff here, and I put the CB into one of them and moved it with no issues. Now to put everything away....

Welcome, I’m just a little to the east in Frisco.
We ride mostly north, everything from lake Ray Roberts to lake Murray in OK.
Real hills up in Broken Bow, OK and everything east of there into Arkansas is primo

Thanks for all your replies and well wishes! Due to the heat and the hassle of getting the house in order, I am not doing a whole lot of riding, but I'll try to get some local pics posted. Finding a taco shack is not a problem, you can't ride a CB more than a few feet and there's another taco joint. Research is going to be extensive and time-consuming for sure. Got another POD coming tomorrow. As they say around here, ya'll take care now!

The weather is starting to cool down a bit and getting a few more miles on the CB. I can tell you one thing; I DO NOT LIKE TO RIDE/DRIVE IN TEXAS AFTER DARK!!! There is little to no lighting on the roads, and what is there, is weak and pitiful, with long stretches of darkness in between. Even with the brights on, there is still a lot darkness lurking by the side of the road. I may add some super brights to my car and I didn't even like to ride after dark in SoCal. I can't be this old, or am I?

Riding in Texas after dark also means dodging that deer that just WANTS to jump over your bike at the worst time. Be safe.
