Discounted CBs - pariah_imp - 04-23-2014
Been looking for a nice CB for a while now and I've noticed that the Dealers are heavily discounting the old models (I've found them for 8K new on Biketrader)
Presumably this is due to the new model. Is there a significant difference between the models apart from the six speed box and cosmetics?

That's Honda official stance on the difference, at least in the US market. I would check their site in your locale for sure.

get the out the door price, dealers offer low prices to get you in the door then add on every thing they can to jack up yhe price.

A gently used or leftover 2013 CB1100 is a great bargain, and can be found in the $8k range all day long. They just depreciate quickly in year one, at least in the US, and you'll get a hell of a bike for not a ton of money. Unless you are smitten by the features of the 2014, you can save a good $4k OTD by buying a leftover or used 13 model.

I paid 12 000 USD for a white 2013 last month. Official price for this was 13500 USD.

I bought my '13 new in February, 8,999 ($1k off U.S. MSRP for the 2013)

... And an upgraded transmission, instrumentation and seat. Not to mention cosmetic changes that are perhaps more to your liking (matching side panels, silver engine/wheels, etc).
