Clean 1974 K4 - CIP57_imp - 05-19-2014

This one has my blood flowing. Very clean 1974 CB750. Not perfect but a good price. K0's go for around 10K i assume this would go for around 8k restored. Anyone see anything not period correct. Those throttle cables seem a bit weird.

RE: Clean 1974 K4 - the Ferret - 05-19-2014

bars are not correct so I assume cables incl hydraulic hose may not be correct either..but it does have a set of original rlets going for it

tires are good but wrong pattern, valve stem caps are incorrect

looks pretty good, even chain looks clean

Nice clean bike. But why would he want 71 model decals and paint ! That drops the price way down.

How rare/expensive are the 4/4 exhausts for those bikes? The one I remember rusted out fast; although that was Cocoa Beach and everything else did too.

Mickey, I'm surprised you didn't catch the incorrect tank! I'm not referring to the paint scheme, I'm referring to the petcock being on the left side, which only the K5-K6's had. Wink
He does mention in his notes that he replaced the tank...
Aftermarket ignition switch too, probably Emgo?

The motor has been repainted for sure. It could of been a rust bucket at one time and new paint covers up a lot !!

I'm getting old Sad

Ignition is in correct location. Many used to move the ign switch up to the handlebar bracket with a V shaped chrome bracket, but correct location is under the tank left side front as I remember it.

What a beauty. I'd be tempted - even with all the Frankenstein mods done - if I hadn't just bought the CB11!
