What is everyone paying for the 2014 Deluxe? - Ivabign_imp - 06-11-2014

Settling in on the final decision and leaning toward the 2014 Deluxe. Just out of curiosity what are you guys paying for the bike before tax and license? Thanks!

There is another tread on the forum about this .
About $10.500 plus non dealer fees will be a good price.

My original deal in late March when I ordered mine was $12,592. Out the door. But others on this forum were getting the DLX for a few hundred dollars less. So I went back to my dealer and told them and they reworked their numbers. I ended up paying about $12,240. for the bike.
This was all after I gave them a 500. deposit.

NOTE: I had to edit this post. I had a senior moment and had 10 grand in my brain. Sorry I try not to lie-but it's soooo hard....

Each state has different taxes. But the dealer price should be the same if one dealer can sell a deluxe for $10,500. Then any dealer can. Some dealers add on freight , prep doc fees etc. That's nonsense. My dealer charged me $10,200 and I had to pay sales tax to Mississippi for. $10,200. Then honda gave my dealer $250 in what they call bonus bucks. If honda would not of had the. $250 in bonus bucks I would of paid $10,450 plus Mississippi sales tax. The bonus bucks is over as of now. My dealer had the black 14 standard for 8,999 so if someone bought it from out of state they would pay $8,999 total and pay their state sales tax when they get home and get their title & tag
When I bought my 2nd deluxe from another dealer in my state over the phone he matched the $10,200 honda still offered the bonus bucks at that time. The day before I went to get my bike 3.5 hour drive I called the dealer to confirm the price. He said all is as said $10,200 plus $300 dock fee. I laughed and said keep my bike off your dock!! I told him no way would I pay a dock fee! He said ok come get it. U got to watch most dealers lol

I called Southern powersports in Chattanooga just yesterdays and the 14 DLX was 10,497.00 with no BS fees or set up. ABernathy Honda in Union City TN did not have a DLX but priced the standard at 8994.00. So, roughly 1500-1600 difference between the two give or take. Southern powersports also priced the STD at 9200 I believe. As far as I am concerned these are the baseline numbers right now regardless of what any dealer tries to tell me. I know they can be bought for this.

So can every dealer sell at these prices? I seem to remember something about the larger dealers getting a bigger kick back on units moved ect... I dont know. We have a brand new single line Honda stealer in my home town and I stopped by yesterday. Of course they dont know a gold wing from a Honda Grom. I was full of information and had my homework done and they acted like msrp was the only way to get the 1100. I told them not from me it wont be. I will drive or fly to get one at a discount. Told them to google Abernathy on the way out the door. My first visit didnt go well.

I wanted to ride one and they would not let me. Bear in mind I was on my Nighthawk when I pulled up. They said they dont allow them. I said I dont spend 10 grand without a test ride. What kind of BS is that I asked since these guys also own new car dealerships? Im an old man not a kid in a Corvette out on a joy ride. Told them good luck and I hit the door. I likely will never go back unless I am desperate for a part of something.

That's unfortunate to have your local dealer act that way. It's very similar in NY, most of the smaller dealers are the same, no test ride and they want MSRP or a touch less. I have built a relationship with a dealer about 40mi away (bought 3 bikes in 4 years) in CT who lets me take any bike out for a test ride, i just call the day before and he preps it for me.

Oldguy the prices you said are good prices. When I got mine they had the bonus bucks. So the cost of a deluxe now from my dealer would be $10,450. Standard $8999. Any dealer can sell at any price they want to! The powerhouse dealers do get a better price than a smaller dealer ( which is not fair ) but $10,500 for a deluxe is a deal. For some reason Chattanooga was late getting there bikes I call them the day before I bought my first bike and they told me they did not even have a price list on the 14 deluxe yet that honda had not released the bike yet. I told them several had been sold nation wide and that my dealer could have one in about 4 days. He said no way so I got it from my local dealer. I always shop around when I buy new bikes. If the price is worth a drive for me I go get it. But looks like when Chattanooga got their bikes they got a few cb11 at one time. Not many dealers have deluxe on the floor. Smile
