CB1100 in the wild - Cormanus - 03-21-2015 As I drove home through the rain early this afternoon—if you have followed [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=5168]this thread you'll know I was in the car—I pulled alongside a motorcycle entering the highway. 'B*gger me,' I said to my wife, 'that's my bike!' A Black CB1100 with top box, fortunately on what looked like an OEM rack which meant it wasn't really my bike, was hurtling up the the Bruce Highway. I felt a bit sorry for the rider who had no gloves in the intermittent rain. That now makes 3 I've seen in the wild. Mate, if you rode a black CB1100 from Caboolture to the Caloundra turnoff on Sunday 22 March and you're lurking, out yourself. RE: CB1100 in the wild - the Ferret - 03-21-2015 Nice spot Cormanus. What are the chances eh? Think of the timing. RE: CB1100 in the wild - Rebel73_imp - 03-23-2015 CB1100 sightings are quite rare here in L.A., and that's quite alright with me! Very interesting. I have seen zero CB1100's in the wild here in Houston - except for mine of course the few days I had it before it went to the shop where it remains today. I'll start keeping my eyes peeled - I know there are CB1100's in the area . . . . RE: CB1100 in the wild - Django - 03-23-2015 Recently, when I left office and approached my CB to ride home, a guy came by slowly on his Honda CB1100, black, same rear rack as mine, same motorcycle. Only difference, mine has a windscreen. Outcome was, he works in the building just next to my office and normally parks his CB round the corner, 100 meter distance from my parking lot. Beside that, I've noticed no other CB in the wild so far. |
