foot peg location - Cresty_imp - 07-24-2015 Just completed my first 300 mile trip and I must say it was quite enjoyable. At first I had some reservations about the location of the foot pegs, since all my other rides had further forward positions. I found the current location to be very comfortable over the long distance. The only thing that came to mind is that the six speed has a lot of close ratios and the bike pulls well in 5th & 6th even at low speeds. Any day you can get vertical and ride your bike is a good day. Just love those 4 cylinders in line bikes. 1973 CB350-F 2014 CB1100-E Standard RE: foot peg location - the Ferret - 07-24-2015 Agree with everything you said! We're all different shapes and sizes, so maybe it isn't that weird. I find the pegs are too far forward. I installed adjustable footpegs to move them back almost an inch. I'd like them further back, but I would need an expensive rear sets kit that moves the foot controls along with the pegs and most of those end up raising the pegs too much. Now that my hips are more relaxed, my lower back seems to suffer more. I can't seem to find the harmony and zen I desire. I'm thinking I may take my lower bars off and put the stockers back on to see if that helps. RE: foot peg location - Cresty_imp - 07-26-2015 Honda does not give you a lot of options on this model, unless you can manufacture your own. Maybe in time more options will be available. As for now, I am looking to install some sort of highway bar and pegs combination, I now have Honda's engine guards which really serve no purpose unless you tipsy over in the garage. Thanks for the comments. Any day you can get vertical and ride your bike is a good day. 1973 CB350-F 2014 CB1100-E Standard |
