RE: Honda all fixed. - Pterodactyl_imp - 07-28-2015 Looking good Tez. Cheers RE: Honda all fixed. - the Ferret - 07-28-2015 Looks like new RE: Honda all fixed. - Cormanus - 07-28-2015 Excellent, Tezza. Glad you're both well and restored. RE: Honda all fixed. - Tezza_imp - 07-29-2015 I did a slow ride by the other day and had a look at the spot where I went down. There was a suspicious shiny manhole cover in that lane. Maybe if my model had ABS it might not have happened. RE: Honda all fixed. - redbirds_imp - 07-29-2015 Glad the repairs went well. The bike looks new. ABS is something I would have liked to have on my 2013 as it can be the difference between going down or not. My wife's V-strom came standard with ABS. RE: Honda all fixed. - veech_imp - 07-29-2015 ABS was the number one thing I wanted when I bought my '13 in '13. I had to look hard and found the last one in a five state region. It is the first actual motorcycle I've had with ABS and it was very well worth the extra up charge IMO. RE: Honda all fixed. - NightRider_imp - 08-04-2015 As you all know, one must learn how not to depend on the ABS as it will not fully replace a highly developed riding and braking skillset to keep you out of trouble. We've read that too many riders simply assume the ABS will keep them out of trouble and don't bother to learn or practice quick stop braking so that it is second nature and instead when trouble developes they just jam on the brakes and hold on depending on the ABS to work everything out. Ouch. |
