I often wonder... - WhiskeyUSMC1979_imp - 09-09-2015 Does my bike sit outside my office all day and think about me? I know I sit here and look at my jacket and helmet all day, wishing I could be out on the road. ![]() I assume everyone else feels the same way. Yes? Sent from an undisclosed location RE: I often wonder... - JustPassinThru_imp - 09-09-2015 The machine...is at an advantage. It goes dormant. That enables it to exist through neglect and abandonment and even abuse...and once put right, in the hands of a concerned rider...it COMES ALIVE. When cold and in the dark, it feels nothing. That is to its benefit. RE: I often wonder... - MikeOxbig_imp - 09-09-2015 Me too, I often wonder this as well. At least your gear is on a nice stand. I just throw mine behind my chair. I often wonder... - WhiskeyUSMC1979_imp - 09-09-2015 Repurposed mannequin with a knife stuck in the top to hold the helmet. Haha ![]() Just means it takes me that much longer to take my jacket off that dummy and put it on this dummy before I leave. But it does look cool! That's all that really matters. Hahaha Sent from an undisclosed location RE: I often wonder... - MikeOxbig_imp - 09-09-2015 Mental note, don't mess with WhiskeyUSMC1979 in his office. The contrast is very telling. As I write this, my helmet sits in the corner of my office on a 3" binder filled with reports, on a stack of bankers boxes filled with more binders containing yet more reports. Whiskey's helmet sits on a knife, impaled into the neck of a headless mannequin. Mental note, don't mess with metallyguitarded if you fear paper cuts. Don't mess with WhiskeyUSMC1979 if you fear dismemberment and losing your head. RE: I often wonder... - MikeOxbig_imp - 09-11-2015 Your helmet better be SNELL certified, those paper cuts can be brutal!! RE: I often wonder... - Lord Popgun - 09-11-2015 Awesome saying on a Marine squadron's aircraft on a carrier in the Gulf: US MARINES Your best friend. Your worst enemy. RE: I often wonder... - WhiskeyUSMC1979_imp - 09-12-2015 General "Maddog" Mattis!
RE: I often wonder... - Lord Popgun - 09-12-2015 Well I guess I need spell check... I didn't know it was a quote. Learn something everyday! Just know I like it. |
