A rare sighting! - 17-CB-002 - 07-25-2023

Last Sunday while riding north for a quick errant, I ran into a 2016 Checkered flag CB1100.

Also noticed that the owner carries a spare fuel container confirming my same range anxiety issue.

I sure do. 1000 clicks each way. A lot of rain at night.

Very cool to see one of the checked tanks. Are there any forum members that have one?

I think we have a few Canadian members with checkered flag tank, Rotor? from BC and couple of guys? from Ontario, maybe one from Quebec province if not mistaken.

https://www.amazon.com/RANDDER-Liquid-Bottle-Camping-Motorcycling/dp/B08WRXY7G4 I actually have 2 of the MSR brand ones of those!

I did find it very awkward to pour the fuel into the gas tank from that bottle. I wish they sold some sort of a screw on spout for then you actually use it.

Back when I had the Kawi Vulcan1500, I carried two repurposed oil bottles full of gas bungeed to the right pillion floorboard.
