Seat cushion - Griz53_imp - 06-02-2023 2013 cb with stock seat, after about 30 miles my old butt starts saying "get me off here" LOL being 260 # Im no light weight ! Anyone found a comfy cushion that will actually help ?? RE: Seat cushion - Cormanus - 06-02-2023 [url=https://airhawk.net/]Airhawk. pdedse can tell you about bleacher pads. RE: Seat cushion - GoldOxide_imp - 06-02-2023 Airhawk knock-offs work okay too for about half the price. RE: Seat cushion - Crazyirv_imp - 07-19-2023 Air Seat Innovations. Seems Airhawks are plastic now, these are rubber and great quality. Fits perfect on the seat. I spent a lot of time back in April and I found these are an excellent deal. Not sure what happened to Airhawk but it seems like they no longer lead in the inflatable cushion arena. Amazon and Ebay have the ASI cushions that fit our stock seats perfectly for $80. I remember when Airhawks (rubber not plastic) were always $100-150. Pic to follow. RE: Seat cushion - emptysea - 07-19-2023 This is what my wife and I use on our bikes. https://www.sitandfly.com/ It’s relatively cheap and works better for us than Air Hawk or gel pads. RE: Seat cushion - Crazyirv_imp - 07-19-2023 Here's an Air Seat Innovations on my bike. I tried a Corbin and a K&H seat neither did much for me and this is the solution. BTW I weigh over 350 and it hasn't popped yet! Just make sure you inflate it as little as possible so you are "floating" on about a half inch of air. If you inflate it a lot it won't work. Ignore the stripey look this is a low res pic Seat cushion - 3rd Gear Steve - 07-20-2023 (07-19-2023, 09:59 PM)EmptySea_imp Wrote: This is what my wife and I use on our bikes. https://www.sitandfly.com/ +1 for the Sit & Fly. It was a big improvement in comfort over the standard seat. Size S for our bike.

Yep, $6.95 and they transfer from one bike to the next...and I'm set if I really do have to sit in the bleachers. Looking a the sit/fly website, it looks like a mesh cover. What does that do for one? I’m struggling to take a helpful image, but it’s a ~3/8” thick 3D matrix of plastic fibers connecting top and bottom layers of braided plastic mesh. Pressure on a single cell will collapse it pretty easily, but under distributed loads, the matrix only gives a little. Also, it keeps your butt breezy cool. ![]() FYI, I weigh about 150 lb and have, not to be too rude about it, a narrow butt. I’ve found over years of motorcycling and cycling that firm support is more comfortable for me than soft foam or gel. I upgraded to a much better dense foam seat from K&H, so I plan to bring this to the east coast rally this year for anyone to try who wants to. |
