That's very interesting. I assume they are wind chill figures which, as I understand it, is what the temperature feels like to a warm blooded creature. It's a good guide as to what to wear. I've got to do some mental arithmetic with this type of chart because in the UK we converted to centigrade about 40 years ago and I've just about got the hang of it. When you guys talk about temperatures of 40 degrees I'm thinking T shirt, shorts and sun cream.

Notice at 90 degrees and above the faster you go the hotter it gets.

Something didn't look right and I realized that the 55 degree air temp column is out of order. Glad Allstate is my ins company

Wow I just spent 57 miles riding around at 34-32 degrees at approx. 55 mph so that translate to about zero according to the chart. Didn't feel that cold behind my windshield/fairing with the electrics turned on lol

Windchill is just a measurement of how long it would take your skin to cool down. But it can never cool down below ambient. So the breeze will cool your skin faster than still air. Just like still air at the cooler windchill temp.

Yeah, a big windshield pretty much cancels out the most of the wind chill effect. Usually my first winter ride in the 40s convinces me to put the big shields on both of the bikes.
