Saturday in San Diego - dave - 03-05-2016
Ran a few errands today on the CB. In the last two years I think I've only seen a total of three CB1100's on the road here, but I saw two today, just about 20 minutes apart. The first one, a black, 2014 standard, passed me on 163N, just before the I-15 exchange. The second, a 2013 standard with a windscreen, passed me going in the opposite direction on Clairemont Mesa Blvd, who then did a U-turn and met up with me at a signal light. If either of you gentlemen visit this forum, then "hello".

I've only seen two. Both black standards. One here locally and one in San Francisco. I like the fact they're somewhat far and few between sightings.

163N. I-15. Clairemont Mesa Blvd. My old stomping ground. I used to live off I-15 and Balboa, just south of there, and then off I-15 and Mira Mesa, just north of there. Is Lee's still in business? Hope about Fun Bike Center? LOL!

LOL!Lee's is still in business and so is FBC, although they relocated from Convoy St to Kearny Villa Rd.

Bought a 79 CBX from FBC in 1981 when I was in the Navy. Lived in San Diego from 81-91 when it was inexpensive and uncrowded.

Yep, I lived there until 2002. Today, more people live in San Diego County than the entire state of Colorado. I have a lot of fond motorcycling memories from living there and was able to put on some serious miles. Can't exactly do that here.
