Used 2013 CB1100s are cropping up all over the place - DaSwami_imp - 03-11-2017 At least here in Florida. Been thinking about one of these, I own the 2014 Std will getting one of these be a "letdown"? Are the differences vs the 2014 models that significant? Thanks. RE: Used 2013 CB1100s are cropping up all over the place - Scoobynut_imp - 03-11-2017 The 2013s are very similar to your '14 standard, the main difference being your bike is 6 speed whereas '13s are 5 speed. RE: Used 2013 CB1100s are cropping up all over the place - the Ferret - 03-11-2017 Depends of what you consider significant. Scoob covered the most noticeable one, the 5 SPEED trans, also INSTRUMENTS ARE DIFFERENT, NO GEAR INDICATOR, NO TRIP COMPUTEr (sorry about caps) 140 mph speedo, different colors on background of instruments, different size turn signals, of course red vs black paint on tank, silver side covers. Red? What red?
RE: Used 2013 CB1100s are cropping up all over the place - nhawk7504_imp - 03-12-2017 People do lots of ownership "test rides" is all. My brother has an 07 DUC Multistrada. He says, "Gotta have sealed bags. Rains a lot. Gotta have a wind screen. Highway is often up to 80 mph AND windy." I've ridden the 90 miles from Palm Bay up to Daytona. Rain sometimes on and off. Wind indeed! The DUC flies in traffic, I must say. But yeah, the '13 was actually first made in 2010, so they have had time to refine it since then. I've ridden full gear in summer in FL and at lights it was HOT, but drivers are not always good, so no FULL gear and it's a real RISK there. Lots of OLD people, no offense to them. So people come off the road because of those reasons as well. So people come off the road because of those reasons as well. My first time to vacation in Florida was in 1982. The very first day there I saw an elderly lady in a big Cadillac bump into an elderly gentleman sitting in a Lincoln Continental at a traffic light. The both got out, chatted politely, got back in their 4-wheeled boats and drifted away. When I first started motorcycling I was warned to watch out for "little old ladies or men with hats." |
